Meet The Board

Julia Wildman - President
Some of my earliest memories from childhood were bicycle related – throwing a tantrum when my mom took the training wheels off my bike, learning how to bicycle with no hands on my neighborhood hills, and the many crashes I endured while learning. This instilled a passion for active transportation in my mind at a young age that I now get to apply as the President of the Board for GVSA. In that role, it’s my goal to drive progress, momentum, and positive change that is inclusive of all forms of active transportation. Accessibility, joy, and safety drive my passion to build a stronger more sustainable transportation community in this Valley.

Alyssa Adams - Vice President
I have lived on the Western Slope for just over a decade, then found my home in Grand Junction in 2018. Professionally, I work in a financial planning office managing day-to-day operations. In my “free time” I enjoy spending time in the water, hiking, camping, attending the many farmers and art markets. Joining the heartbeat of the community, I am happy to be involved in this collaborative group taking on a mission that affects us all - safely getting from one place to the next. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to be able to walk to school on a paved and protected path along with other kids. Today, I bike commute a majority of the time. My biggest hope for GVSA is that we can join a conversation, including multiple perspectives, asking questions, gathering information, providing education, sharing experiences, and finding common ground so we can work together to find clear and tangible solutions to everyday hindrances regarding transportation.

David Lehman - Secretary
I’m an avid cyclist and walker, and I’ve enjoyed Grand Junction’s mild climate and gentle terrain for over 30 years. I believe it’s important to actively listen to everyone and to try to understand their point of view. My career with BLM was dedicated to collaborating with diverse interests to find solutions to complex environmental/economic problems. With the Grand Valley Streets Alliance we can work together to make Mesa County an even better place to live, for all of us.

Diana Rooney - Treasurer
I have a passion for leaving things in a better place than I found them. The impacts of transportation, population growth, and humankind’s existence on the planet drive an inquisitive need to support our community’s future and seek innovative solutions to support the success of this and future generations to get around town, grow food, and live meaningful lives. I am excited to be part of the group to support those who can’t drive or don’t own cars navigate our community as easily as those with cars can and envision a brighter transportation future for the Grand Valley.

Dan Lundberg - Public Relations
I have been a Mesa County resident for about 7 years and have enjoyed seeing and experiencing the growth of Grand Junction. I am excited to serve on the board of GVSA and help connect the community as it continues to expand and change. Personally, I am a mental health counselor and spent over 12 years before that as an elementary teacher, mainly as a physical education teacher. I enjoy mountain biking, backcountry skiing, running, and surfing when possible. Having lived in other states as well as an 8 month stint living on the road out of a camper, I have experienced a variety of ways that other communities approach multi-modal travel. I hope to combine my experiences and knowledge with those on the board and in our community to foster improvements to our streets here in Mesa County.

Benaiah Adams - Board Member
I like bikes, doing bike things, and helping others access or do bike things. I began commuting by bike in the valley in 2019 as a means to reduce my cost of living. Ended up liking it, okay maybe loving it, and the way it allowed me to see my world anew and connected me to where I live. I also saw the many challenges that faced pedestrians and cyclists in the valley. My interest in being an active member of the community and advocating for change in these issues snowballed pretty fast. I became involved with GVSA and a couple other groups in the area to help increase the quality of experience and the access to alternative transportation. Say hi if you see me on the streets or the trail."

My favorite way to get to know a new city is to take a morning run through its streets. The streets of downtown Grand Junction are increasingly accessible for running, walking, and dining. My biggest hope with GVSA is to increase the harmony and accessibility of our streets--ensuring safe and smooth access for driving, walking, running, riding, and other activities that bring joy and health. We've made great progress; let's keep going!

Olivia, 32, Fruita, is honored to be on the board as vice-President. While growing up in Denver I found the benefits of public transportation and multi-use paths as being the most economical way of commuting. Having an eye on these elements has sparked the inspiration for being an involved advocate to our quickly growing community. Now living in the Valley for almost a decade I have seen how much the area is in need for the prioritization of a smart active mobility plan. If it is to build bridges between cyclists and pedestrians or better accessibility for all on energy efficient public transit, it should be the key to a better community.

I firmly believe that what makes someone a 'local' in their community is how active they are in trying to make it a better, happier, and healthier place. The Grand Valley is already a great place to live, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement! Our geography, relative flatness, and year-round great weather make it an ideal place to support ALL forms of transportation equitably and safely.
I grew up in Eugene, Oregon, went to college in Tampa, Florida, and have lived many places since, but have happily called the Redlands home since 2020. With my background in cartography, GIS, and software development, I'm excited to bring a data-driven perspective to making our streets safer for everyone. In my spare time, I like to mountain bike, target shoot, paint, and take my dog Otto swimming or for morning runs.
I’m always open and interested in making connections, discussing infrastructure and urban planning, or open to giving and getting honest feedback. Feel free to reach out to me anytime at parker.t.lindley@gmail.com
